Masticate to emesis

I am in the medical field and this was drawn while I was in my medical term class last semester. Mastication is the medical term for chewing, Emesis is the medical term for throwing up.

Unfortunately I suffered from bulimia between the ages of 10 and 15, bulimia is not something that you ever really get rid of. It is a disease like alcoholism, an alcoholic may get better, but a single drink can send them into a tail spin of destruction. I will live with this for the rest of my life, and instead of actually having another episode, I found myself drawing this instead. That is my mouth, yes my tongue is pierced. I wanted to do something different from the other bulimia pictures (throwing up in a toilet anyone?)...but I still wanted to get the message across.

It's a gross disease, and more depressing? Bulimics don't even (usually) get to be thin like anorexics, your BMI technically has to be above a certain point to be considered bulimic, otherwise you're considered anorexic/healthy/obese. There's your medical lesson for the day!
