This started off due to a longing for religion in my life. The shadow figure was meant to represent the plethora of faiths out there, the cross hanging from her neck is like a noose, keeping me anchored to what I was forced to learn growing up. I have a firm belief that children should not be forced to participate in a religion they are not comfortable in, I knew what I wanted when I was a child and it was not Catholicism, or Christianity at all. Yet, after all that and then the Catholic high school, I feel forced into those patterns again and it keeps me from fully giving myself over to what I really want to do (religion wise).

Anyway, that's what this represented to me. I guess it could be a demon gaining control over a young girl as well, whatever you want.
